10 steps to a profitable site Computer Repair

It's funny – Websites are something that have to be forced every brick and mortar business, but feels to know very few know why. Try these for themselves. The next time you are a business owner ask them to speak, is used for what purpose their website.

The answers will vary, but the real reason is basically: everyone has one so we must have one too.

This is a shame, because the most valuable real estate sites are in the world.

Millions of dollars may be replaced by a space that not even a square foot to be smuggled large. Your website is your company's face World. It is quickly becoming the way consumers research, compare and buy products and services, even if the transaction is not done online.

With the right strategy They have the same chance in the sale of products and be seen as Microsoft, Boeing and Amazon. Entrepreneurs in a home office can outsell a multi-million dollar company.

Although the tactics that will vary for your work on site to your target audience, product and site end, the following 10 steps that I have found dramatically is offered to increase conversion, independent of the company, customer type or product.

I have website integrates all 10 steps in the template that comes with my Computer Consulting Business In-A-Box. You too can have the same results of my customers by the following output contact:

Step 1: Start with a clearly defined target You Want Your Site To Produce

Do you want to produce leads for your sales team? Sell Products you? Attract investors? This is the first and most important step in designing a website.

Unfortunately, it is also overlooked by most people.

Before you unleash your Web developer to build a site that you should know exactly what types of visitors you attract and what you will want the visitors to do.
Plan Your Web site to take every sentence, link, graphic and moving them towards the action and everything else off.

Step 2: the structure of your Web site like a funnel

Agencies trying to put oil in your car engine with a funnel, had a narrow opening, and six different outlets at the bottom. Impossible is not it?

You will receive only one-sixth of the oil is actually in your car and leaving the rest to go anywhere. You would have to put up in six cans of oil to get what you would have done with the right hopper of oil.

That goes for your site as well. Is it a focus of the actual production, a result Funnel or is it simply an electronic page turner for your company brochure?

For the development of the funnel for your website, fill in the answers to these questions:

  • What is the ultimate result I would like to create my website?
  • What is my perspective, the purchase process?
  • What is the first thing I want to do my guests?
  • What I offer incentives to entice them to take action?

Step 3: How many Web visitors as possible to get your mailing list

E-mail newsletters are the oldest and in the opinion of some, the best tactic in Getting Website Visitors join your mailing list. In essence, the web visitor asked that you keep in touch with them by sending regular e-mail communication.

However, there are more and more companies flood our inboxes with e-mail newsletters and promotions, opt more and more web visitors always hesitant in for fear of getting inundated with spam.

Think of the e-mail newsletters that you want to subscribe to. I bet you now you delete some of those who use you, to read, since over time you have so many that you just do not have the time to read all of it accumulated.

Chances are, you have two email accounts: the ones you read for days and days out to Hotmail or Yahoo account you use to sign up for all-sites and newsletters. Therefore, the conversion of opt-in newsletters has 1 at a paltry% or less for most companies declined.

So what is the secret to secure tens of opt-in prices?

Simple. Create an "event" to offer, instead of encouraging more e-mail that they do not want. An event is an offer that they promptly. Think instant gratification.

Some examples are:

  1. A sample of your product
  2. A white paper or report
  3. A free Audio cassette or CD
  4. Free software
  5. 3 Free chapter or an excerpt from a book
  6. A free video
  7. A free Service
  8. Free webinar or teleseminar

Step 4: Make a presentation of your offer and opt-in box on your Home Page

This is a simple but often overlooked strategy for increasing website conversion.
In a previous website of mine, I increased conversion of 4% by simply Move my opt-in box in the upper right corner of my homepage. The same offer, but now it was the first to catch what the eye when you visit my website.

A Another trick is a picture of an attractive person in the near or around the opt-in box make them pay attention to use it. If I have used this tactic in the past, the Conversion bumps always several percentage points.

Alex Mandossian uses a picture of himself lifting opt-in box on his head on marketingwithpostcards.com. Alex swears by this Strategy claimed that it has a significant influence on the conversion.

Step 5: Use an Auto Responder To Follow Up

The whole purpose of getting Prospects, so here is opt-in, so that you can pursue, and close the sale. Auto-responders can help you do this with zero effort.

Follow-up is of crucial importance because the majority of the visitors is to buy immediately. In fact, I've found is that most people only after the third or 4 to buy contact.

How many follow-up message you send is something that needs to be tested. I would recommend starting with at least 3 in a relatively short time (within a week). If they do not react, simply add these people to your monthly e-zine list.

Auto-responder e-mails, the same rules already in the chapter on e-mail marketing described to follow. They are:

  1. Personalize the subject and body of the e-mail.
  2. Write it with the same passion as a sales letter.
  3. Ask for the order.
  4. Always give the recipient the opportunity to opt-out.

Step 6: Pop-Ups

At the moment did I have a love-hate relationship with pop-ups. One hand, they annoy me and interrupt my web user activity. On the other hand, I can not ignore their ability to to increase conversion rates.

If you are not familiar with pop-ups, they are basically mini-Web ads that open automatically when you enter or exit a website.

There are three types of Pop-Ups: entry, delayed entry and exit of all, when they appear. There is also a pop, is the same among those except that it pops up behind the page that you are.

I personally prefer exit pop-ups or pop-ups, because entry delayed entry to stop pop-ups of the visitors, while your site. If someone reads your sales letter, why disturb them? You could also point them to the your site to tease out. More people do not like them, as so conservative as they test them before rolling on a larger scale.

Here are a few of the ways how to use pop-ups and pop-under conversion to increase your site:

  • In order to promote a sale or a temporary Offer. Both Amazon and Barnes and Nobel-entry use pop-ups to promote that offer free shipping, rebates and other products for sale. This type of entry pop-up alerts the shopper at the beginning in an effort to influence their buying behavior. Still Free shipping on orders over $ 50 can encourage a visitor, a second book, they might not otherwise have bought buy.
  • To visitors to opt-in. Again, free white papers, reports sampled, and other gifts for the big "Bait". Even if the pop-up is the same offer you currently have on your website, you will see an increase in the conversion from the pop-up. Make sure the pop-up test on entry and exit, to see which one works best.
  • get as a "last ditch" efforts to a customer to buy. A friend of mine sold a marketing-how to guide for $ 250. When you leave his site an exit pop-up appears with a CD version of the manual for $ 150 on the prospects, who are interested in buying, but Capture is a bit wary of spending $ 250. This simple strategy has put a considerable amount of money in his bank account and allowed cover it to him, customers who might otherwise have been lost.
  • To a buck out of your affiliate partners. It is a simple fact of life, not all want what you have to offer. But they have come to your site, because they have a certain degree interested in the types of services and products to offer. Why not an exit pop up to promote one of your partners products or services?

Step 7: Oh, and Let's Forget To Make Your Site Sell

Motivational Sales copy is the most important item you can enter your site.
If you do not do an exceptional job of capturing and holding the attention of your web visitors to the point to motivate them to action, you are cheating yourself out of a considerable profit. It's that simple.

Here are the two biggest mistakes have companies with website copy:

  1. They confuse visitors.
I wish I had a nickel for every site I have visited where I can find out just not what they do. Perhaps you have had a similar experience? See if you advise me what makes this company: "XYZ was formed to help your business succeed. In today's complex world of the entrepreneur is faced with challenges everyday. In order to success , you must identify an area you are focused on constantly. Their survival and success is how well you maintain that depend focus. At XYZ, we are here to help you achieve your goals. We strive to serve your business and your customers with quality products, friendly service and the enormous attention to detail. "

As terrible as this is obviously talking thousands of companies post up this culture on their sites with the grand illusion that someone actually is going on to read it.

And you know what – you deliver your customers' quality, expect friendly service, and tremendous attention to detail " so there is no benefit to tell them. Toting quality and service as your main advantage is about as effective as a restaurant promotion, "If our restaurant to leave, you are less hungry than when you came in. "

  2. They wore Visitors
Take a look at the above Paragraph. See anything wrong with it? It is boring to read and is not "so what?" Test. Nobody cares about your business, how long you've been in Business was, or other boring things about you. They want to know what is in it for them – specifically.

Just as a fascinating sales letter for your site visitors to write hooks and brings them to want more? The same way you do not write great sales letter.

Step 8: know what your Visitors are worth

Well, you create a killer site, the conversion of a high percentage of visitors is to leads or customers, it is time to focus on always how many qualified visitors to the site possible.

Getting visitors to your site is not free, and before you start making money for e-mail lists and other Traffic, you know how to calculate what your visitors are worth, also known as a visitor need value.

Suppose you sell a $ 100 product and make $ 80 gross profit per sale. If one of 100 visitors buys your product, you must vote a 1% conversion. At $ 80 profit per sale of each visitor worth $ 0.80 ($ 80 x .01) is.

This means you could save up to $ 0.79, to visit a prospect to your website and also for making profits (even if a very small profit).

You have to calculate two things to determine your visitors:

  1. The average profit per sale you.
  2. Your Website Conversion rate.

To calculate the conversion rate, simply divide the number of visitors to your site by the number of leads or sales it produced over a given period.

Warning: Be careful not to be confused with "hits", "unique Visitor "or your calculations will be off. On average, per visitor for about 2-3 hits to your website. Any good web-tracking software tracks visitors through a unique IP address.

Step 9: What you need tracking and How

There are several good web page tracking software on the market today that can help you Track will be attending and other important local activities such as visitor session and time of exit and entry pages.

The chances are good that your web host already provides you with any type of web tracking software in your monthly hosting fee. This "free" programs are usually quite simple and can give you only general Information such as hits, errors, links, and pages viewed.

If this is the case, ask your provider if they can make you a better program upgrade as Urchin reports, LiveStats or WebTrendsLive. You pay a bit more per month, but the information you collect is worth it.

Here is a list the 5 things you should unique visitor tracking plus:

  1. Opt-ins. This is the number of people to join their list.
  2. Visitor session time. This is the amount of time someone spends on your site. This is a good indicator of how convincing your sales copy.
  3. Entry page conversion. This is the same as visitor value, divide the total number of sales by the total number of unique visitors.
  4. Order conversion page. Similar Entry page conversion, divide the total number of sales by the total number of visitors to your order page.
  5. Auto-responder conversion. How many follow ups It took that visitors to convert to a sale? What do the best work?

Each of these elements contribute your sites overall exchange ratio and each tells a different story. If you are not a lot of people have to opt to be improved must be in your offer.

When visitors spending only a few Surf seconds on your website before then the headline and copy attack them.

When to go a good number of people to the order page then do not follow, however, you must copy or on the order page layout work.

If a lot of people opt-in to, but never as your auto-responder repair.
Tracking these elements, you can "see" your site funnel and discover where the holes are. Once you discover a "leak" to start want to improve testing of different messages, offers, layout and approaches for the general change from your site.

The most accurate method to various offers, headlines, copy test and graphics is the creation of two separate locations, which are identical, except for the item you test. Drive-through traffic the two and measure the results. Just be sure an item is at a time test is a fair and accurate analysis.

Step 10: The fastest way to a large Number of qualified visitors to your site

If a local business, services only a small area (like a dentist or carpet cleaner) engines are still the best way to drive a large number of qualified prospects to your website.

Search engines come in four flavors, each with their own method for ranking pages.

1) Search Engines - Although this is the general term used to search all engines, send You to collect real search engine spiders or robots from the Web search and information. True search engines include AltaVista, HotBox, Excite and Google.

Second) Directories – search directories such as Yahoo and Open Directory (DMOZ) trust to check on the people and to categorize your site. Please send your title, description and website and the editor will decide whether they should be added to the list.

3) Price comparison search engine - such as Web sites such as Shopping.com, Epinions.com MySimon.com and advertises all offer a pay per click services to companies with their e-commerce products. When visitors conduct the search for your product, you pay a bid amount only when a user clicks on your link. If you work with a shoe-string budget and sell e-commerce products, I recommend giving a try Froogle.com. Froogle is a price comparison search engine of Google and shall never pay more for an account or clicks. It amounts to free circulation.

4) Pay-Per-Performance Search Engines – Engines known as "pay per click" search engines allow you to select the bid for top ranking position on the keywords. You pay the bid amount only when a user clicks on your link. While there are over 390 different pay-per-click search engines on the Web are the two 800 pounds gorilla in this room are Overture.com and Google When setting up an Adwords account with Google Adwords or Overture, you will also get on top of several other major search engines like Yahoo, MSN, AltaVista and space, as well as thousands of smaller sites. This is because, Overture and Google have up affiliate agreements with thousands of web pages where the top 3 listings of Overture or the top 50-20 list is set listings from Google at the top of their sites under "Sponsor Matches", "Sponsor Sites" or "Google Ads".

If you want to completely take the guesswork in the launch of a website, online marketing, and securing new business for your computer Consulting company, keep my investments in computer Consulting Business In-A-Box.

12 billion dollars a month for the Iraq war. Why? why? why?

Do you think I could get a couple thousand dollars of that money to repair my car?

I am an American Citizen.

We have spent over 2 trillion dollars on the war in Iraq and there is still no time table set to get out. We need to invest in our own economy, reduce taxes, raise the minimum wage, lower interest rates, lower gas prices at the pump, and provide health insurance to the poor. Yep! 12 billion dollars a month should take care of all of the above and bring our troops home.

I guess my young children will be paying for this war until their hair turns grey.

Keep voting Republican and that waste of tax payers’ money will continue.

Irs Home Repair Deductions

irs Home Repair Deductions
The proper way to deduct loss due to flood damage?

I have a new 3-story townhouse. It is my primary residence and it was flooded with 2 feet of water back in Feb due to heavy rains. 11 other units in my neighborhood also looded. I went the cheapest route I could to repair everything and it cost me approx $4000 but it still isn’t 100% of what it was originally. Maybe 95%. Anyway, I saw in an IRS publication that I can not deduct just my repair costs. I have to have had an appraisal and then take the difference in fair market value as the deduction? I had my home owners insurance do an appraisal of the damages but they did no pay anything to me since I did not have flood insurance. What is the right way to deduct my losses?

This is a casualty loss. Take the value of your home just before the flood, subtract the value of your home just after the flood, now subtract any insurance reimbursements and this is your loss. However, all casualty losses are subject to 10% of AGI (adjusted gross income) which means that if you had a $4k loss and you made more than $40K in the year of loss you are probably not eligible for the deduction. If you made less than $40K see a tax advisor for help, but don’t count on a big tax relief you will be subtracting 10% of AGI from your total loss to calculate your deduction and then the deduction will decrease your INCOME by the remaining amount, not your tax…sorry, it is a lousy deduction.

Home Repair Fraud

Home Repair fraud
Property manager ripping me off big time, fraud the works, who can I turn to?

My home is being mnaged by a property management co in Minnesota. I have 100% proof they are ripping me off.

1. Receipts given for repairs to companies that do not even exist.

2. Work orders and billings in excess of $1200 for work that was never done.

3. stealing rental funds and money I sent to them for this initial work they NEVER did. They failed to add a $600 check to me revenue statement. Now they said it went to some other repairs when I thretened to file charges.

I contacted my local attorney general’s office and they said they do not get involved in landlord disputes. this is fraud, theft not a dispute. So who can I turn to here? So far, this company has outright stoled $1800 and the it just keep getting bigger.

Thanks

Since this is business fraud get back in touch with the attorney generals office. tell them you are being cheated by a management company. Don’t use the word “landlord”. Just that you have a case of business fraud between you and the company you hired to manage your business, which is rental property. Also, call the better business agency in that city–IF the company is a member report them.

If the company is insured–I hope you are doing business with an insured company- call the insurance company and file a claim! (It should be listed in your contract.) You will get some fast action usually that way. Insurance companies don’t like to insure “bad guys”!!!

File a complaint with the Real Estate Licensing board in that state.

If you have the money to travel go there and walk in and surprise them. Demand to see your file immediately and don’t take no for an answer. Do not leave the office until you see it. (Thus this is best done in the morning. Bring water and some food, and STAY POLITE and CALM!!!) Make copies of everything. Copy all computer files to a disk. (Remember you will need whatever program they use in order to open the files from your disk.
Then, if they claim they have no time to see you take your copies and comeback with an appointment. BUT GET THOSE COPIES!!!
(You can call the police if they refuse to let you see them–they may be thier records but you have a right to see any and all of them.) Read your contract with the company and BRING IT WITH YOU!!

You can call the police bussiness # to get information on how to procede with charges.

File a complaint in court, sueing them for damages.

Switch your management to another company IMEDIATELY!!! (For your own peace on mind and because otherwise your claim will hold no water–if they did these things any sane person would have switched companies )

BTW–I am a landlord myself and manage my own and my sister’s properties. I keep my properties within a couple hours drive–no long distance for me!

Good Luck! And cut your losses–cancel the contract and demand all files and money be turned over immediately.

’scuse any errors, I look at the keyboard, not the screen when I type. ;-)

Home Repair Rates

Home Repair rates
How to repair credit to purchase a home in the near future?

I have read through a lot of the questions that have already been asked but I have yet to find exactly what I am looking for. I have been slowly but surely paying off some of the items on my credit report, all of which are delinquent by several years. My current credit score according to Experian’s Triple Advantage is a 548, and I would really like to increase my credit score by atleast one hundred points so I can purchase my first home in the very near future. I recently contacted a realtor who pulled my credit report and showed my high end credit as 614, mid of 610, and low of 598. I don’t quite understand why none of these numbers match what I am showing on my active Triple Advantage account, but I was told to wait atleast six more months and try to apply for a home again. I was approved on this attempt, but for $25,000 less than what I need and the interest rate was 7.5%.

If anyone has any advice or words of motivation for me I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks all!

The more negatives you pay off the better. You really need a 2 year consistent on time payment history.

The reason the scores don’t match is that you get the consumer version. I understand there’s a mortgage version, and a car loan version. Also, are you sure Triple Advantage was giving you your FICO. It’s the only score that counts.

Another piece of advice, don’t buy more house than you can really afford. Your house payment shouldn’t be more than 25% of your monthly income. Waiting another 6 months may work out better as far as finding more house for a cheaper price.

I need a loan to the repairs on my home page. I own my home but really my only source of income is disability.? SRC = "http://www.mb01.com/getimage.asp?m=1880&o=2327&i=33649.dat" width = 234 height = 60 border = 0>

Is there a special program for people like me – government or otherwise? My bank will not make me a home-equity loans, because they say my income-to-debt ratio will be too high. The "Energy Efficiency" program offered to low-income people have with older homes to wait a 5-8 years, in my part of Texas. Hurricane Rita affected my roof – but not enough for my home owner's insurance cover. State Farm said that my roof was already 15 years old and probably needed to be replaced at all. She also said that the damage was not serious enough, but several leaks, but no torn shingles. I need a new roof, above all, especially before there is more damage in my house. Does anyone know where I can for a loan or a grant to transform? Thank you, Terri

A New Bathroom Contributes To The Value Of Your Home

Many real estate experts speculate that the bathroom is one of the most important factors determining the resale value of your home and one of the top considerations of prospective homebuyers. Bathrooms can positively contribute to the value of the house by their luxurious features. While every bathroom has a sink and bath tub and toilet, not every one contain whirlpool tubs, recessed lighting or extravagant features such as heated tile.

While the bathroom can be the most essential consideration in a potential homebuyer’s decision, sadly in used homes it is often a negative factor. The bathroom is one of the rooms that is hidden and can be isolated by a door, and unlike the living room or kitchen it is not visible and can often be ignored and not renovated until it is very old-fashioned. The fact that bathroom renovations also tend to be expensive can have an effect on a purchaser’s decision to pass or purchase a home.

Bathroom renovations do not have to always cost a lot of money. Basic renovations still have a high return on investment. A coat of paint or discarding that rust pink wallpaper can have a very great impact on the overall appearance of the bathroom. If there is seventies-era inspired avocado colored tile in your bathroom there is still hope as a few companies specialize in painting tile. A change in color to white, black, or neutral is something that is more modern and will stay up to date longer. Installing new light fixtures can also improve and modernize the bathroom, and can even be a cost efficient way to save money in the long term. If your bathroom plainly requires a quick update try changing the bathroom towels or simple accessories as a convenient fix.

Bathroom renovation is much easier nowadays because there are merchandise made for do-it-yourself homeowners. Products like tile or wood floor paneling can be bought and installed for little or no heartache. While all these alterations would affect the appearance and the value of your house, more radical alterations would have an even greater effect. Gutting the bathroom and installing new shower units, toilets, and sinks would create an entire new bathroom that can increase the selling price and the likelihood of selling your home.

A return on equity estimator calculated that a simple bathroom remodel would have a 102.2 percent return! While many of our investments are negative right now, a return over 100 percent is huge, especially when it pertains to the value of your home. For simple repairs and updates your local hardware store is often a good source of information, as is an expert installation firm. Ask questions and gain the most out of your home!
